I have a stupid laptop- the sound card doesn't work.
So makes it hard to watch the class online. =(
Ansuya says you can hook up your computer to your tv but does anyone know if you can hook-up your laptop to one of those portable dvd players to watch her class? (I don't have a tv)

1) Have you tried headphones? Maybe it's not the sound card, just the speakers....
2) If your laptop has an SVHS output port (small round connector)
it may have an audio out there.
(the VGA monitor connector does NOT have audio)
3) Only SOME DVD players have an A/V INPUT port, but your soundcard
has to work to drive the DVD player's speakers...
4) If it's TRULY your soundcard, you're screwed...
*EXECPT*
5) You *MAY* be able to find an EXTERNAL USB type audio card,
but it'll be $50-$100+..plus speakers/headphones... check compusa or frys....

Compusa *DOES* still have external USB soundcards; I just checked:
